CONNETQUOT TEACHERS SUPPORT
'BIRTHDAT WISHES'
Bohemia, NY --- Mr. Anthony Felicio, Jr., President of the Connetquot Teachers Association (CTA) and on behalf of his members, donated 30 colorfully wrapped birthday gifts to an organization called ‘Birthday Wishes of Long Island”. The organization makes a difference in the lives of homeless children and their families by bringing them the joy of a birthday party!
“It brings great pleasure and joy to the members of the CTA to be able to help bring smiles to the faces of the children who will receive these gifts, and get to enjoy their special day,” said Mr. Felicio. “Without organizations like Birthday Wishes, many of the children they serve would never get to experience the happiness that comes with celebrating a birthday, which most children take for granted. We are honored to part of the Birthday Wishes family.”
Birthday Wishes provides two types of birthday celebrations. The organization has an on-site program that provides monthly parties at the shelters, and celebrate the birthdays of all children aged 1-18 in any particular month. The program’s ‘Birthday in a Box’ program provides a party-box, and birthday gifts to children and their families staying in domestic violence-safe shelters, hotels, and scattered sites, so the children can still celebrate their special day.
Felicio and the membership of the Connetquot Teachers Association take great pride in supporting Birthday Wishes of Long Island for the wonderful work they do in bringing joy into the lives of children who suffer from circumstances they cannot control. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
