CONNETQUOT HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER EARNS EXCELLENCE AWARD
CTA President Anthony Felicio, Jr., (l) congratulates Connetquot teacher Charles Trupia for being named a Teacher of Excellence by New York State Senator Phil Boyle, on May 5th.
Bohemia, NY --- Connetquot Teachers Association (CTA) President Mr. Anthony Felicio, Jr., recently announced the selection of Connetquot High School Social Studies teacher Charles Trupia as a ‘Teacher of Excellence’ by New York State Senator Phil Boyle. Fifteen outstanding educators, from schools located in the 4th NYS Senate District, were honored at a ceremony held on May 5th at the Bay Shore Fire Department.
Senator Boyle congratulated each of the honored teachers, by referring to them as among “… our best and brightest teachers, who deserve recognition for their dedication to our children.”
CTA President Anthony Felicio, Jr., added, “I have known Charlie as a colleague, and friend, for 30 years. No one is more deserving of this honor than Charlie Trupia. His dedication to his profession is second to none. His enthusiasm, passion and caring attitude towards his students are his greatest strengths.”
Trupia will retire in June after serving the Connetquot community for 30 years. “He will be sorely missed. Congratulations again, and good luck Charlie,” said Mr. Felicio.
